PARKING BASICS
New Parking Management Program Starts May 1, 2024
The City is proud to partner with Interstate Parking Company of Colorado, LLC, to launch a new and improved, simplified parking program starting May 1.
The program will apply to the entire City parking system including permitting, enforcement, ticket and fines, and community and business outreach.
This new program aims to help remedy the various technologies and systems used to manage the parking system that often resulted in frustration for residents, employees and visitors.

FREE 2 HOUR PARKING

Check out Map 'N Park for free parking locations (up to two (2) hours) before 5 p.m. and free parking options after 5 p.m.

Please read signs to see what days the 2-hour parking is in effect.

You do not need to register your vehicle at a pay station for these areas.
PARKING RATES

If you plan to stay longer than two (2) hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., there are convenient parking garages and parking lots. Check out Map 'N Park for parking locations and map out your visit.

The first two hours are free, and each additional hour is $2.50 up to a maximum of $10 per day.

Electric Vehicles must also register and pay for parking in applicable zones.

City of Golden charging rates are $.024/killowatt-hour, plus $1 per 15-minute increment over three hours.

* There is a 49 cent convenience fee added to your payment per transaction.
